Job Description

- Oversee MFG batch approval process and adjustments (pH, Viscosity, Specific Gravity, Color, Etc.)
- Document control as required by ISO 22716
- Oversee QA personnel, provide reviews and progress reports
- Track metrics for MFG batch approvals & adjustments. Setting quarterly goal(s)
- Teach/train and develop a highly effective quality assurance team
- Work with management to improve process and sustainability of quality along all platforms
- Work with mechanics and engineering department to maintain and improve manufacturing capabilities
- Assist in MFG scheduling and capabilities
- Work with compounding supervisor to ensure daily execution of planned batches
- Participate in First time batches to ensure accuracy in manufacturing
o Verify batch documents
- Verify and approve Fill Weight Worksheets for new products
- Approve/Release finished bulk for production
- Create and issue bulk & finished good Certificate of Analysis
- Ensure Micro submission log is updated daily
- Perform root cause analysis on any micro contamination, if any.
- Ensure bulk retains are logged and maintained
- Neatly & Accurately document data
- Operate lab equipment as required
- Aseptically sample water system
- Maintain Procedures for all areas of responsibilities
- Lab maintenance and cleanliness as high importance
- Assist with stability program as needed
- Assist in any other aspect/capacity clerical, R&D Lab, QC/QA when needed
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management

- 3+ years QC / QA experience
- 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the personal care products industry
- Knowledge of ISO 22716
- At least 1+ years supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of personal care products
- Must be flexible and have the ability to work overtime and weekends as required, as scheduled work hours can vary based on business need
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize among competing priorities
- Ability to troubleshoot quality related issues as needed
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including identifying root causes and developing solutions
- Experience working with different types of filling equipment and processes
- Working knowledge of raw materials
- Experience with manufacturing tanks (small to large size kettles)
- Ability to clearly and adequately communicate with all levels personnel, both in writing and orally
- Adhere to and enforce all GMPs (Goods Manufacturing Practices) throughout company
- Ability to perform basic Algebra (basic math test will be administered)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required

- High School Diploma required
- College degree preferred

- Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating appropriate equipment in the department
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
